白蛇
导读
这则故事在格林童话里属于“感恩的动物”一类（ATU 554），但在中国孩子听来，它一点也不陌生——“滴水之恩，当涌泉相报”“善有善报”，正是我们祖辈常挂在嘴边的话。所以我们把它改写成寓言体：人物一句话就能认清（好奇的仆人、骄傲的公主、知恩的小动物），情节一步一个转折，道理讲到末尾自然浮现。故事开头那条白蛇也别有深意：中国自古就有“听鸟语、通兽言”的传说，古人相信万物有灵，能与草木虫鱼相通的人，必先有一颗敬惜万物的心。这则故事真正的“眼”就在于此——听懂万物之言是本事，善待万物才是根本。共读时不妨让孩子留意：仆人救鱼、让路、杀马喂鸦，哪一件是他为了回报才做的？
