菲奈鸟

《菲奈鸟》讲的是一对情同手足的孩子，靠着一次次变身摆脱追杀。这种'魔法逃亡'的情节（民俗学分类 ATU 313）是全世界最古老、流传最广的故事母题之一——早在古希腊神话里，美狄亚帮伊阿宋逃离追兵时就用过类似的手段。不过，大多数'魔法逃亡'版本里，逃跑的人是往身后扔魔法物件（梳子变成森林、镜子变成湖泊）；而格林这一篇用的是更少见的'变身'版本：两个孩子干脆把自己变成玫瑰树与玫瑰、教堂与水晶灯、池塘与鸭子。故事真正的核心，其实是他们反复念出的那句誓言——'你永不离弃我，我也永不离弃你；无论现在还是将来'。魔法之所以奏效，正因为他们始终不分开、始终守着这个承诺。名字'Fundevogel'在德语里就是'捡来的鸟'（Fund＝找到，Vogel＝鸟），因为他是被一只猛禽叼走、又在树顶上被人捡到的。和许多以婚礼收尾的童话不同，这个故事没有爱情，只有两个孩子彼此守护、平安回家。读的时候，可以问问孩子：是什么让他们一次次化险为夷——是魔法，还是那句永不分开的约定？
