The Wolf and the Seven Little Kids

Mother goat warns her seven kids about the wolf before leaving. The wolf tries to trick his way in twice; first failing due to his rough voice, and after eating chalk to soften it, failing again due to his black paws.

The wolf forces a miller to whiten his paws and successfully tricks the kids into opening the door. Panic ensues as he swallows six of them, missing only the youngest in the clock case, before falling asleep outside.

Mother goat returns to find her home trashed. Desperate, she calls her children's names, finding only the youngest in the clock, who tells her the tragic news that the wolf has eaten the rest.

The mother and kid find the sleeping wolf and see movement in his belly. She cuts him open, rescuing the six kids alive, then they fill his stomach with stones and sew him back up.

The wolf wakes up thirsty, the stones rattling inside him. He stoops to drink at the brook, but the weight pulls him in and he drowns. The goats celebrate by dancing around.
