The Rabbit and the Maiden

A rabbit comes to the cabbage garden and eats all the cabbages; the woman sends her daughter to drive it away

The next day the rabbit returns, repeats the same exchange, and the maiden still refuses

The third time the rabbit comes, the maiden finally agrees and is taken to the rabbit-hutch

The wedding guests gather, but the bride is sad and lonely

The maiden escapes home using a straw figure; the rabbit thinks he killed his bride and leaves sadly
