Fundevogel

The forester saves a child from a tree, names him Fundevogel, and raises him with his daughter Lina, but the old cook plots to boil Fundevogel.

Upon learning the plot, Lina pledges never to leave Fundevogel. They escape early in the morning, leaving the cook terrified when she discovers them gone.

The cook sends servants to chase them, but the children transform into a rose-tree and a rose. The servants return empty-handed and are scolded by the cook.

The servants search again, but the children become a church and a chandelier. The servants fail again, so the cook decides to pursue them herself.

The cook arrives, and the children become a pond and a duck. The cook tries to drink the pond dry, but the duck drowns her. The children return home happily.
